Eileen Walsh has practiced law in Louisville, Kentucky for 30 years. Her practice at Elder Law of Louisville is focused solely on Elder Law, which includes Wills, Powers of Attorney, Advanced Directives, Trusts, Trust Administration, Medicaid Planning, VA Benefits Planning, Special Needs, Guardianship and Probate. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Kentucky, is admitted before the Eastern and Western Districts of the U.S. Federal Court, the 6th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. She is also accredited by the VA to assist veterans and their family members with claims for benefits.
Eileen was voted a 2014 and 2015 "Best of Louisville" attorney by her peers for her work in the elder law field. She is an active member of the Louisville Bar Association (LBA), participating in the Estate & Probate Section. She sits on the Board of Directors of GuardiaCare. She is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Metro Louisville (EPCML), Greater Louisville Aging in Place Alliance (GLAIPA) and the Health Services Professionals Network (HSPN). State-wide, Eileen is actively involved with the KY Bar Association (KBA), participating in the Elder Law Section and the Estate/Probate Section. She is also on the Board of Directors of the KY Guardianship Association (KGA). Nationally, Eileen is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and ElderCounsel.
Eileen also regularly writes and speaks on Elder Law topics. Most recently, she co-authored with her law partner, Whitney Wilson, the article, "Paying for Long Term Care Without Medicaid" published by multiple organizations. She routinely speaks on Elder Law topics for the KBA, national legal seminar companies, and to local facilities, organizations and charities.
